ABOUT US
Welcome to Loders Women's Institute. We are a friendly, supportive, happy group of members. Membership is open to all women aged 12 to 112, and it is a great way to meet new friends if you have recently moved to the area.
The mission of the WI is 'inspiring women' and we hope to do that with a interesting talks, workshops, rambles, garden visits and much more.
Membership gives you access to the wider activities of WI on a county and national level, offering a diverse range of different activities and events as well as a monthly copy of an informative magazine filled with interesting articles.
We meet up regularly on the second Tuesday of each month, with other activities throughout the course of the year (see What's On), and we have summer and Christmas socials too.
In addition to our meetings, we have craft afternoons and rambles. We sponsor our own Flower and Produce Show in August/September. This is a very popular local show, open to everyone, with entries from Loders and further afield.
We also get involved in the group craft competition at The Melplash Show with members having the opportunity to work as a team to produce an entry to compete with other competitors. We were trophy winners this year (2023) and awarded the Bride Valley Fielding Perpetual Challenge Cup.
