We are Loders Women's Institute: a friendly, supportive, happy band of members. Membership is open to all, and the WI is a great way to meet new friends if you are new to the area.

Our WI has been here since the 1920s and was reformed in 1947 after the war years forced suspension.

The mission of the WI is 'inspiring women' and we hope to do that with a series of interesting talks, workshops and other events.

The Melplash Show often gives us the opportunity to get crafting as a team pitched against other WIs making sometimes, slightly mad creations.

We host our own Flower and Produce Show in August/September.

Membership also gives you access to the wider activities of WI on a county and national level: again offering a diverse range of different activities and events as well as a well researched topcial magazine for members.

Loders WI is part of the Bride Valley Group of Women's Institutes.  The Group is made up by Bride Valley WI, Burton Bradstock WI, Loders WI, Martinstown WI, Portesham WI, Poundbury WI and Walditch WI.

We meet up regularly on the second Tuesday of each month, with other activities throughout the course of the year (see What's On), and we have summer and Chrismas socials too,

Bride Valley, Loders, Martinstown and Poundbury hold evening meetings.  Walditch hold morning meetings.  Burton Bradstock and Portesham alternate between afternoon and evening meetings, depending on the time of year.
