Loders Flower & Produce Show 2026 Entry Form

Saturday 15th August 2026

2.30pm to 4pm

Venue: Loders Village Hall

 

Entry fee (for all classes): 50p per exhibit.

Children under 15 (for Classes 64 to 68) free.

Visitor show entry £1

Exhibits to be set up between 8.30am and 10.30am on the morning of the show and collected after 4.15pm.

Hall closes at 5.15pm.

Refreshments and raffle tickets available from 2.30pm

Prize giving at 4pm


1.        All classes open to anyone unless otherwise stated.

2.        Exhibitors may enter up a maximum of two entries per class.

3.        All exhibits in classes 1 to 36, 38-39 must be home grown by exhibitors.

4.        Pot plants must have been in the possession of the exhibitor for at least three months.

5.        No exhibits should have been entered into a previous Loders show

6.        The committee do not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to any exhibit

7.        The judges decision is final. Prize money 1st 50p & 2nd 30p. Cards will be awarded for first, second and third places

8.        The LODERS ENTERTAINMENT TROPHY is given for the most points gained by any competitor. Classes marked with * are included in the markings for the FRANCIS SANCTUARY CUP. The PIPPA DAVIS MEMORIAL CUP is given for the highest points in the Handicraft, Flowers, Flower Arranging, Produce and Baking classes.

  1. Artwork: all to be your original handwork.

  2. Photographs: not to exceed A5, unmounted.

  3. Baking: please cover with clingfilm or suitable transparent cover.

Apfelkucken (German Apple Cake)

Ingredients: 2 dessert apples, peeled, cored and cut into fine wedges,1 tbsp lemon juice, 125g unsalted butter, 140g golden caster sugar,3 eggs, 250g plain flour, 1tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 75ml full fat milkTopping: 1 1/2 tbsp demerara sugar, ½ tsp ground cinnamonMethod heat the oven 270° C or gas 3. Grease and line a 23 cm diameter tin. Coat the apples in the lemon juice & set aside. In a large bowl beat together the butter and sugar until pale and fluffy, add the eggs and beat until smooth, sift in flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well slowly add the milk mixing well after each addition until you have a smooth batter. Transfer the batter to the cake tin, then arrange the apple wedges in a spiral on top. Mix the sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle on top. Bake for 40 to 45 mins in the tin. Remove from heat. Allow to cool for 15 mins and then run a knife around the edges. Turn out onto a wire rack
