LATEST NEWS for MEMBERS
At our Annual Meeting on the Tuesday 9th April, our President and members of the Team gave their annual reports of the activities of the past year. The Team has agreed to serve for another year, but a plea for more help was made. Members who are interested in doing so are encouraged to speak to a member of the Team for further details and perhaps attend one our monthly meetings. After the business part of the meeting, wine and cheese was provided by the Team.
On Tuesday 16th April, arrangements have been made for a visit to Forde Abbey, Estate, Chard, TA20 4LU - meeting at 12.00pm at the Abbey. Members, friends and family are welcome. You will then be able to walk around the gardens to admire the tulips, have lunch or afternoon tea at the Coffee Shop at the Abbey. Tickets at £14.50 for the Gardens only, but this would be reduced if more than 10 people are able to attend. Please let us know if you wish to go. Also, let us know if you require a lift.
On Saturday 5th May, Treasures from the Attic, a table top event sponsored by Loders WI will take place at Loders Village Hall. All are welcome. Tables at £5. Entrance free to sellers and buyers. £5 for cream tea of coffee/tea, scones and cakes. Time: 1.00pm for Sellers, 2.00pm for Buyers. Donations of cakes and scones and help from members would be welcome. If you wish to book a table, please contact by email to loderswi@gmail.com or the website www.loderswi.org.
